To the left is Old-Field Plot A, a 10-year-rotation plot last tilled on 12 Mar 2002.

To the right is Old Field Plot B, which is tilled each year that no other old-field plot is tilled. It was last tilled on 22 Apr 2003.

The trees that were left standing in these plots are longleaf pines, which will increase the genetic diversity for the longleaf pine reproduction that will occur in the restored upland pine to the west.
