The area in the foreground will become part of Plot C, a 40-year-rotation plot, and Plot D, a 10-year-rotation plot.

The area was cleared prior to the start of NATL for disposal of clay excavated during the construction of the medical center.

The woods in the background will be cleared to become part of Plots A and B.
