On the left is Old-field Plot D, a 10-year-rotation plot to be started in 1997.

On the right is Old-field Plot E, a 40-year rotation plot to be started in 2020.

This area was cleared prior to the start of NATL-for disposal of clay excavated during the construction of the medical center.

On the left of the trail is Old-field Plot D, started in 1997 and already cleared of trees for its re-start later in 2007.

On the right of the trail is Old-field Plot E, to be started in 2020.

Beyond the green sign is Old-field Plot B and the SEEP woodland.
