Authors of Proposal
In 1993, Dana Griffin (Botany)(left), Joe Schaefer (Wildlife Ecology and Conservation), and Tom Walker (Entomology and Nematology) authored the proposal that led to the start of NATL in 1994. Here, in 2000, they plant a sign identifying NATL successional plots C and D. Plot C (left), newly tilled, is scheduled to be re-started in 40 years (2040).
